We board one family's dogs at a time. When we hold dates for you, we turn other families away for those same dates, so a deposit is what makes the hold real for both of us. Drop-in visits and dog walks don't work that way, and have no deposit at all.
Submitting a booking is a request. Once we accept it we hold your dates, and a deposit of 30% (or one night, whichever is greater) is due within 48 hours to confirm them.
Your dates are held for 48 hours while we wait for the deposit. If it hasn't arrived by then, the hold lapses and the dates go back on the calendar for other families. We'll email you either way, and nothing is charged.
The remaining balance is due before drop-off. We'll send a reminder so you can settle it in advance, and your dog can't start their stay with a balance outstanding.
You can pay online by card from My account, or by PayPal, Venmo, Apple Cash or Zelle, whichever is easiest.
Just ask. If we have the availability, moving your dates is free at any point before drop-off, and your deposit moves with you. Please talk to us before cancelling. We would much rather find dates that work.
| When you cancel | What happens to your deposit |
|---|---|
| 30+ days before drop-off | Refunded in full. |
| 14–29 days before | Your choice: a full credit toward a future stay, or a 50% cash refund. |
| Under 14 days | Deposit is retained and issued as a credit valid for 12 months. Any balance you've already paid is refunded in full. |
Credits never expire early, transfer to any of our services, and can be used by anyone in your household.
For holiday periods the deposit is 50%, and inside 30 days it is issued as a credit rather than refunded in cash. These are the dates we turn away the most families for, and they're almost impossible to refill at short notice. Holiday dates are flagged when you book.
No deposit, and no cancellation charge. Please give us 24 hours' notice where you can, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
If we ever cancel on you, whether through illness, emergency or anything else on our end, you get everything back in full, and we'll do our best to help you find another sitter.
We're a family business, not a platform, and we'd rather talk than enforce a rule. If something comes up, get in touch. Call or text 303-720-6718.
